On today’s episode of Ingrid Dishes, Ingrid Nilsen aka Missglamorazzi shares her recipe for a peaches & cream, vegan smoothie! It technically doesn’t have an cream in it, but it’s going to taste like it does. This is a fantastic summery dessert, nice and cooling and a healthier alternative to ice cream. THE RECIPE:
Ingredients:
2 ripe peaches, pits removed and quartered (frozen peaches can also be used)
1/2 banana peeled and frozen
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
Agave or pure maple syrup to taste for added sweetness
1 tbsp chia seeds
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and let stand for 5-10 minutes so the oats and chia seeds can soak a bit.
2. Blend until smooth, taste, adjust flavor as needed and serve.
Notes: To thicken consistency, more frozen banana can be added. To thin, add more almond milk or orange juice.
