We tried this it works and tastes lovely and is so easy to make, very filling too!
wow looks delicious
Until the internet came around I (as an American) had no idea what Toad in the Hole was. I'd heard of it from reading The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, but couldn't fathom what it could possibly be. I've cooked it a half dozen times over the last two years and along with Bangers and Mash it's definitely one of my favorite English dishes.
I must also add that I love English Real Ale poured from cask.
No, that's your breath.
Your accent reminds me of a Dunmer ^^
Why does mine turn out soggy in the middle, what am I doing wrong!?
I'm using a conventional oven set to gasmark 6 if that helps :p
My oven only goes up to 220 is that hot enough?
spot on...delicious!!!
Chef, what are the measurements for the flour and water in cups?
That has inspired me. I think I'm going to make this dish with sausages, chorizo and black pudding (morcilla). With Spanish ingredients. It looks really good.
