this is inspired by kourabiedes. It's a Greek biscuit with almonds and sprinkled with icing sugar normally served at Greek orthodox Christmas
can I do it by hand because I don't have a food processor
These are traditionally made with almond paste and egg white, and it's spelled 'pignoli'. I wished she could've explained that because this cookie is different.
Pine nuts are ridiculously expensive but for these cookies, they're worth buying! They were truly delicious!
I just LOVE your-recipes,especially the old recipes my great grandmother made when I was growing up. They never wrote these wonderful recipes down.
I am pissed my 5 year old GE stove died on me,,,,,they say it's cheaper to buy a new one than replace the damaged part.
Or could be just genetics......some people have high metabolic rate; that means they burn calories at significantly higher rate than most people
Isn't that a spanish cookie? a polvoron?
Ive had something delicious that looked identical to these BUT, they were almond flavour. Any idea what that cookie would go under the name as?
hahahaha I totally busted out laughing at your comment! I also do that when make any type of cookie like this because I also don't have a tiny food processor! :D
