I wonder why the food network's version of this has extra unnecessary ingredients
io uso L`anice e il cesto di nocciole e mandole e miele , I incorporate ANISE in my struffoli in a crushed basket of hazelnuts, almonds and honey , a classic from Scaturchio , if y now what I mean . YUM

These are my fav at christmas my nonna makes these every year.
I made them and they came out perfect they were delicious thx laura
They came out very cakes and dense not light and airy and I made it 3 times
When my family makes them we cut them with kitchen shears and we put hundreds and thousands instead of long sprinkles!
My mom makes these every Christmas
I counted 7 not 8
We make these in my family every Christmas as well but we add in almonds, so good.
