Easy Slow Cooker Butter Chicken is a simplified version of the classic curry dish. Succulent chicken pieces are combined with herbs, spices, natural yoghurt, coconut milk and butter, then slow cooked until tender. Serve with rice, noodles or vegetables of your choice, this no-fuss recipe is great for weeknights or as an alternative to expensive takeaway orders – Try it today 🙂
Ingredients:
4 Large Chicken Breasts (skinless, boneless – diced into chunks)
1 Large Brown Onion (diced)
1 Tablespoon of Curry Powder
1 Tablespoon of Garam Masala
1 Teaspoon of Chilli Powder (or more if desired)
3 to 4 Cloves of Garlic (minced)
1 Cup of Natural Unflavoured Yoghurt
400ml Can of Coconut Milk
1/2 Cup of Tomato Paste (Concentrated Tomato Puree)
100g of Butter
Salt and Pepper
Rice, Noodles or Mixed Vegetables (to serve)
Fresh Coriander (to garnish)
Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 hours on HIGH setting
