*O* I love your cooking c;
Wow
it makes me hungry !!!!!!!
Can you sub the sugar with Stevia?
OMG!!i am starving now!
anything really thats a big name - cadbury, lindt, galaxy. If you want something even better quality, try a specialist chocolate store like thorntons.
If you cool this down, could you put it in an ice cream maker and make chocolate ice cream? - cooking the custard for less time at the beginning so it is slightly thinner. It is essentially a ice cream recipe.
You probably didn't let it cook for long enough - if it was doubled then it would need longer time till it coats the back of a spoon. Try making it in 2 pots next time (if you double it again) and make sure it really is thick enough. You could even add some cornstarch to the eggs and sugar at the beginning (haven't tried this so not sure if it would help but there is sometimes the addition of cornstarch in other custard recipes!)
Just put some cream in a bowl and use a whisk to beat it and incorporate air till its stiff - for more sweetness add some icing sugar or you could add some vanilla for taste. Make sure the fat content is high enough in the cream aswell; use heavy cream or double cream or the equivelent where you live.
