BETH’S TRICK OR TREAT SALTED CARAMEL SUNDAES
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 Quarts (1.5 Liters) of Vanilla Ice Cream
3 Caramel, Nugget, Nut, Candy Bars (Snickers mini snack size)
3 Peanut Butter Cups, (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Snack Size)
3 Chocolate Crispy Bars, (Nestle Crunch Bars Mini Snack Size)
Salted Caramel Sauce
1 cup (200 g) white Sugar
½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream
1 tbsp (15 g) butter
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
½ tsp (2.5 ml) fleur de sel sea salt
METHOD:
Cut candy bars into small chunks and set aside. You will have about 1 cup (240 ml) worth of candy.
In a bowl of an electric mixer, scoop out softened vanilla ice cream. Beat ice cream and candy together, until ice cream is really soft and candy is combined. Transfer to a freezer safe container, or pop back into the Ice Cream container.
Freeze overnight.
FOR SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE
Place sugar in a large, high profile sauce pan. Heat dry sugar on medium high until it melts and turns amber. Swirling around so that it does not burn.
Lower heat to medium. Add cream, stand back it will bubble and look like a witches brew! Not to worry it will settle down in a few seconds. Add butter and whisk to melt. Add vanilla and salt.
Allow to cool slightly.
Scoop out frozen ice cream, top with caramel sauce, garnish with flakes of salt on top.
Et voila! Trick or treat?

I've just made your caramel recipe with sume homemade ice cream and it tasted amazing this is the best caramel recipe for me so far , it contains a reasonable amount of butter not like the recipes that calls for a stick of butter , I loved it Beth so thank you
The only thing that is scary about this desert is how many carbs are in there
This is great, would not eat it everyday, I can see myself devouring this during Halloween or as s special treat for my hubby and kiddies.
