The noodles i bought here in Germany are like 2 minute noodles, so do i need to break them up and cook them or just break them up in the wok with the other stuff?
It's not fair to tell the westerners how actually a mandarin word is spelt as the pronunciation may be entirely different. I am a Singaporean too. Having lived in Europe for a couple years I can tell you that they try very hard to let us know what they are really talking about when attempting to speak certain words in mandarin. So I'm saying we should all lay off the chef a bit and enjoy his rather fabulous teaching :)
YUM :-/ :-) :-P YUM :-/
what the hell i love your wok XD you throw the onion and the meat and they are instantly more fried XD
Thank you! :)
i find 5 spice a bit too smoky and cinnamony,i dont like cinnamon .i'd use thai 7 spice its more fresh in a sense i think its the coriander
Surely seeming how he's described what is in the powder, you can find the individual spices yourself?
牛肉炒麵 ;)
Chinese Five Spice is a combination of star anise, cloves, cinnamon, sichuan pepper and ground fennel seeds. If you can find these separately, you could make up your own mixture ;)
Hi David! Not sure if you've already answered this question. If so, sorry to be repetitive. This looks so good I'm planning to make it this week! :) I just got back from the grocery store however, and I couldn't find Chinese five spice. Is there a good substitute for it? Thanks in advance! <3
