Finally John will demonstrate a healthier green smoothie that contains more greens and 3x less calories that is significantly more micro nutrient dense.

    I do that with the frozen too, but chia seeds and flax ground help too and add good fats.

    Ninja mega does just as well.  It is 1500 watts . Blends kale smooth with the addition of ice.

    "I can totally handle it" why would you need to? These recipes can be fun, yummy and not high in fat. I don't know if there is a scientific basis for my concern but I thought I'd share anyway. Is this high concentration of greens safe for your liver? Do you know?
    how does the liver manage to process that high concentration of enzymes, minerals, nutrients in such a dense serving of food designed to absorbed by the body quickly?

    I love the information you have provided.  I started making smoothies 12/25/14, not long.  I found that at first I started detoxing and using your ingredients, but also all the ingredients you mentioned were causing too many calories.  At first I lost about 10 lbs, mostly water.  But then I was at a stand still.  Also, I was only using about a third of your ingredients, and felt weak and sick by the end of the day.  I was not getting enough food apparently doing it the way I was. Now I know why. Also, I didn't know about the over blending of bananas. Thank you for all the information.  I do use coconut water because I can't always get the raw coconut where I reside.

    Eat small amounts of fruit, more than one banana per day is excess, etc. Mostly greens, you should have more variety. Exercise before eating, then the calories will go into muscle building instead of fat building.

    Thank you so much for this recipe.  have a freezer full of greens and berries, so all I need is the coconut water and bananas. That is a low cost way for me to try to improve my health. I am 61, a disabled vet and genuinely want to have a better health. I have learned a lot from how to videos and I like your greens recipe.

    Is it true that over ripe bandannas "yellow spotted or almost full brown" are the best for your health?

    These smoothies can potentially be unhealthy to ones thyroid. Cruciferous  vegetables are goitrogens that inhibit the production of thyroid hormone if overly consumed.

    John glad to see you are admitting you do not follow 80/10/10. When you critiqued durianrider for using refined sugar by asking Doug Graham about it and you did not asked Doug about all the juicing you do. I thought that was a breach of integrity. I stopped watching your channel. Until now.

    You know i love you John, but sometimes I think that you and even myself and people in the health and wellness movement become hyper-legallistic and create these dogmatic self perpetuating realities that we staunchly defend no matter what. You know its weird because I am just as persistent, diligent, and hardcore as you are, but secretly I wonder, and I hate to say this, but I wonder if we aspire to ever increasing heights of perfection in our pursuits for the quintessential state of health nirvana all in a vain attempt not to die, or because of our fear of death and of dying which is appointed unto us all. Could this secretly be what drives us all behind the scenes. Most of the centenarians are not "legallistic "raw vegans staunchly defending that someone else's smoothie has 6 ingredients vs 3 vs 2 vs 1. As long as the preponderance of your lifestyle is positive and healthy you'll be fine. Good health doesn't require all that we do to acquire it despite our most sincere dissertations to the contrary, ………lol and I still love you John.

    Who gives a flying%$#@ if the other guy used 6 or more ingredients in his smoothie. And you would have to REALLY work hard to get 2300 calories in a freaking smoothie.
