INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

Schnitzels:

2 Small Veal Steaks
1 Cup of Plain Flour
1 Cup of Dry Bread Crumbs
1/2 Cup of Parmesan Cheese (Powdered Shaker-Style)
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup of Milk
Salt and Pepper
Butter (for frying, or use vegetable oil)

Creamy Mushroom Sauce:

1 Cup of Button Mushrooms (Sliced Thinly)
Butter (for frying)
2 (Large) Tablespoons of Sour Cream
1/2 Cup of Grated Cheddar Cheese
Salt and Pepper (to season)

Makes 2 Schnitzels with Sauce

Preparation Time: 10 minutes (+ 20 minutes Chilling Time)
Cooking Time: About 10 minutes

ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC

    The breaded veal or chicken seems easy enough but their are many variations to a mushroom sauce.

    i don't think I've had a veal schnitzel with Parmesan mixed in the breadcrumb. Do you think it might be overdoing it if you're adding cheese to both the breadcrumb and sauce? I like the idea, but I'm just not sure.

    ahh it hurts to hear you say schnitzel.is like my favourite gernam word and you saying it wrong.its pronounced with the sch sounding like sh .so basically tell nitzel to shhhh.ive been to germany and austria on an exchange and thats how its pronounced.i still love you though

    I have a question- this is the first dish with sour cream I have ever cooked, and my cream ended up tasting sour… is that what's suppose to happen? How do I make a sauce that allows the flavor of the mushrooms to come through? Thanks!
