i made the blueberry peach this morning with 1 cup almond milk. it's great. i love the addition of the cinnamon and eating it with a spoon helps you slow down and makes it seem more like a treat. so satisfying. thanks

Thanks for the recipes! Do you ever add greens to your smoothies? I always throw a handful of spinach into mine for an extra boost of nutrition.

I just went to Trader Joes ( in NC) to buy the green figs and they said they have been discontinued! I am so bummed! That smoothie looked delicious :(

Hi Jen!  Thanks for these recipe ideas.  Just an FYI…..before I freeze my bananas, I cut them into uniform fourths so that they are already in pieces….when I want to add a banana, I just throw in 4 pieces….makes it much easier when adding to my blender.  ;)

Did you use sweet or unsweet almond milk ?

    March 10, 2016 at 2:09 pm

Because you freeze the bananas is that why you don't use ice.

Do you use sweetened almond milk?

With the strawberry and chocolate smoothie, I noticed you didn't use the almond butter…does it just not work well as far as taste?

    Thanks for your wonderful recipes.
Here in India we do not get many of the ingredients so I would have to substitute them with something else.
Can I email you and talk to you about it..
We do not get almond milk and the frozen fruits . We do get peaches and strawberries in season (Fresh).
I loved the look of your blueberry smoothie.. Yum..

I calculated through myfitnesspal because I track everything. A strawberry, banana, blue berry smoothie was 550 calories and a whopping 50 grams of sugar! I only get 45 grams for the day. The app doesn't care if it's table sugar or natural, it all counts. I guess I won't be doing smoothies.

I've got to try these, they look really good. I've been into green smoothies recently and these will be a nice change. I've also never used a nut butter in a smoothie and I like this idea for the increased protein. Thank you for your wonderful inspiration!
