Hi thank you One 'croc' Pot Chef – I am an old pro at making soup, and about to try using the crock pot for first time – have to say I was glad it was you whose demo came up first on my search – with you no dithering about so 'off to get started'. Oh and I know its not winter – thanks

I think celery would go good in this. I would add vegetable broth instead of chicken broth since I do not any meat what so ever. I understand there are vegetarians that eat chicken though.

Some of the people that watch these (often amazing) recipe videos ask the most ridiculously stupid questions!  I mean, really, can people be that stupid so much of the time?  David, you are so wonderfully patient with these people!  "Do you need to soak soup mix, that's gonna be slow cooking in hot liquid for 5 hours?".  Seriously?  Or are you just wanting attention?  I give up!

  26. Ross Darroch

    September 28, 2016 at 10:39 am

No soaking the soup mix? or is it okay since it's cooking away slowly?

  27. Gigi Boujie

    September 28, 2016 at 10:39 am

Is there going to be a difference in flavor if you use a high setting?

What size is your crockpot? I think mine is smaller, so I want to be able to adjust the ingredients accordingly

I have had a slow cooker for two years now and haven't even taken it out of the box yet but I plan to this winter. You say 6 hours but I (and most people) go to work for 8 or 9 hours. Could it be left for 8 or 9 hours?
