I like the idea of saving the broth for future dinners. How long will it last in the Fridge though?

I am going to try this recipe, but I never peel my potatoes or carrots to retain all of the vitamins…do you think a few green olives (the big crunchy ones from Italy) would be good added to this before putting in the crock? I like adding them to chicken recipes so was just wondering.

Looks great! That's nearly the same way I do mine. Sometimes I sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix over everything for added flavor…

I can't say I've had any problems with them. A lot of things are made in China these days, so it's difficult to avoid. But if you are genuinely concerned, I'm sure there are alternatives – you might just have to shop around 😉

It's funny that the advertisement features the Sorted crew, who I also subscribe. Anyhow. Chef I know my question is very much not related to this video, but I was wondering what your thoughts about "china made" silicon baking ware. I know you have a cute, pink silicon muffin cups, thought I'd ask if it's china made and if you had no problems with it. I was in the store yesterday checking it out, but I'm a little scared of it's safety so I didn't buy it.

What "few other fillings" do you put in your pot roast sandwich the next day? That sounds good.

I made a pot roast with almost these exact ingredients just a few weeks ago, but mine seems to turn out quite bland. I thought maybe I was missing some sort of seasoning, but maybe it was my cut of meat. What do you suggest?

This is something my parents do every now and then, or preferably even more often. (; They use elk meat because dad goes hunting every autumn and that's what they eat all winters long! It's so delicious and doesn't require heavy seasoning. So great. If you've ever a chance to try elk, please do! You'll love it.

There was very little to clean up. Simply wash the pot with hot soapy water then rinse. It was clean in moments 😉

Because everything is cooked at a low temperature, it takes while for everything too cook properly. After 9 hours, the vegetables are cooked but still firm 😉
