Sausage Stroganoff | One Pot Chef

Sausage Stroganoff is a budget-friendly main meal that is very easy to prepare. Sausages are browned and combined with onion, bacon, garlic, tomatoes and sour cream. Delicious on it’s own or served with rice or vegetables, this cheap but cheerful main will keep everyone happy – give it a go!

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

8 Sausages (or Skinless Hot Dogs)
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 Brown Onion (chopped)
3 Slices of Bacon (chopped)
2 Cloves of Garlic (crushed)
500g of Mushrooms (sliced)
1 Teaspoon of Mild Paprika
1/4 Cup of Tomato Paste
1 Cup of Liquid Beef Stock
2 Tablespoons of Sour Cream (optional)

Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 20 minutes

SERVES 4 – 6

ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC

    You can use plain cream or plain, unflavoured yoghurt instead of the Sour Cream. You can leave the paprika out if you like πŸ˜‰

    can i leave out paprika? or anything to replace it? and the sour cream can i just use cream or anything else just so its creamy. would it make the taste different?

    @lqntruong it's not hard to make a recipe healthier, for instance: use low fat sausages or leave then out altogether, & add loads more vegetables
