Thanks Larry, cooked the corned beef the way you did here and it turned out wonderful. We had sandwiches with it last night. No left overs it was a really small roast and didn't have a seasoning packet. It was on the meat already. Will definitely be doing this again with a much larger roast. Still not sure about egg rolls but the sandwiches are definitely a keeper in this house. :)

Larry you roll almost every day are you OK? Hope so, little late for checking out this video. I think I have seen and ate every egg roll that's been made. Now I know at least I have seen all of them, just have not tasted the Reuben Egg Rolls. Where is this best Chinese restaurant you speak of , ya see I get around!

truly admire when someone prepares the Reuben within the parameters of the correct variations. I've been to several delis/sandwich shops (including togos) where they just use pastrami =/

Would squeezing the juice out of the kraut first before frying cut down on the frying time?

What a great idea. A Ruben Rap. Or maybe a Wrapped Wruben. I'm cooking the corned beef tomorrow, so leftovers are imminent, and I have wrappers in the fridge. This will happen.

I've actually thought of double wrapping before, but never tried it for fear of being busted by the eggroll police for non-union practices. Now that you got away with it, I'm gonna take the chance.

thank you I have a corn beef in the freezer and did not really know how to cook it. thus the freezer.
Not sure about making the egg rolls but ruben sandwiches and just corn beef for Don sure does seem like a good idea.
Ok egg rolls are maybe on the menu. yours look great.

Larry, what a stroke of genius to put the brisket up onto a rack with the liquid and pickling spices below! You give excellent advice on cutting the meat against the grain too, a point often overlooked. Who would'a thunk that you could combine the best of Irish and Chinese cuisines into one scrumptious food item! By now, I should know to expect the unexpected from you!
