    Laura, you have wasted all that pineapple flesh by cutting off the skin so thick..

    I'm about to head back to the supermarket to get more pineapple and eggs, I made the big mistake of using a spring form pan and it all just seeped out the bottom! 🙁

    if its a reall in season ripe pineapple the inside is soft so no need to cut out the core 🙂

    What could be the reason that pinapple upside down cake would be undercooked right in the middle. Please advise me on this. I am a beginner

    Can this cake be made the day before ? If so how should it be stored ? Room temp or chilled ?

    The batter is not that great because after it was done (dry toothpick) and cooled down. I tasted it and it had a raw flour taste. Not like the one I get at the store which is closer to a Pound cake flavor. Did I do something wrong?

    Sorry but that Pineapple is not ripe at ALL!!! A ripe sweet Pineapple would be yellowish orange from the outside, not green, and definitely not that pale yellow in the inside lol

    sorry: this is the worts pineapple upside down cake …first that pineapple was not fully ripe and therefore not sweet; a fully ripe pineapple the color is yellow not pale white; and the cake batter should be a regular cake batter.
