Pasta Boscaiola is my version of the classic Italian pasta dish. A rich, creamy sauce is combined with bacon, garlic, onion and mushrooms then stirred through tender pasta. Serve with a side salad and garlic bread – give it a go!

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:
500g Pasta (cooked following packet instructions)
500ml of Cream (I used Heavy Cream)
150g of Bacon (about 3 large slices, chopped)
1 Brown Onion (chopped)
2 Cloves of Garlic (crushed)
200g of Button Mushrooms (sliced)
1/2 Cup of Chicken Stock
Fresh Parsley (chopped)
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 20 minutes
SERVES 4 – 6
ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC

My favorite recipe. For me it works best if you are careful with the steps. Brown the meat first, then the onions, add the mushrooms and reduce, then add the cream and a bit of mozzarella, and salt/pepper to taste (I like double cream instead of thickened, for some reason, once the gelatine melts on the thickened cream, the sauce ends up too fatty). I prefer this with Tortellini… mmmm…. carbs. You can't make this look good on a plate, it's a great lot of messy carby, cholesteroly goodness.

I do my variation and was very good turkey beacon, chicken breast, shrimp, mushroom, tomatoes in cube and asparagus, in the pasta, the sauce 1 cup of heavy cream, 4 oz mozarrela cheese, 4 oz parmesan cheese, garlic and butter, mix all and then baked at 350 with cheese in the top until the cheese is melted XD

Carbonara is actually egg and cheese. There should be no cream in traditional Carbonara.

This is a great recipe. However, I am looking for a place to email u to ask U to teach us how to make stuffed shells with hamburger. I always see the jumbo shells stuffed with cheese (which i cant make those either) but I want to learn how to do with meat.
