EDIT: There are many comments discussing this smoothie and if it is healthy or not. I am personally appalled by this, not because I am ignorant, but by what the world and views on health are coming to. Since when is fruit regarded as an unhealthy choice? I lose weight drinking this, and ever since i’ve started incorporating smoothies into my diet, I am much more “regular” and I feel much better. I’ve never met one person who has gained weight eating fruits and vegetables in moderation. You need fruits & there’s a difference between good sugars/carbs/fats and bad sugars/carbs/fats. The yogurt I typically eat is low in sugar and freshly squeezed juice has vitamins that you need. I do sometimes add spinach/kale to my smoothies, but lately i’ve been enjoying this smoothie & losing weight. I personally prefer this smoothie to a creamier smoothie with milk or peanut butter, ect. It makes me feel better. It is reccomended that people consume enough fruits & vegetables for themselves. As I quote from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, “Compared to people who eat only small amounts of fruits and vegetables, those who eat more generous amounts—as part of a healthy diet—are likely to have reduced risk of chronic diseases. These diseases include stroke, type 2 diabetes, some types of cancer, and perhaps heart disease.”
