I made these cookies recently and they were a hit. If you are sensitive to caffeine like I am, you can cut down on the amount of instant espresso powder. I used 2 tablespoons in my batch instead of the recommended 3, but they still tasted yummy!

I tried making this yesterday but it was confusing. On the video it looks like one bar and a 1/2 bars of butter but the directions say more. On the video you also have vanilla but none on the directions. So bummed it wasn't accurate.

I can't find the measurements on your website which really sucks. I really wanted to make these. Why couldn't you have a specific link? I don't understand why you have to use click bait. It's the reason I don't subscribe or use your recipes. I don't mean to be rude, it's just a pet peeve of mine in the youtube world.

I've made about a dozen of your recipes and find most to be delicious. This one was an unfortunate miss for me. First, the recipe ingredient list didn't mention the vanilla. Luckily I had some on hand and guessed and added 1 tsp. I measured everything carefully as I always do with baking and I baked them 11-12 mins and rotated the pan 1/2 way through like she said. The dough was very sticky and hard to roll. They came out very flat and had the texture of a cross between a cookie and toffee. I placed one on a paper towel to eat and there was a LOT of butter on the towel. I think the flavor was good, but the texture, appearance and excessive butter was a disappointment. I baked 8 and will throw those away. I rolled and froze the remainder on a cookie sheet, but I doubt they will come out good either. I will try baking one or 2 in a couple days and see if that changes my results. Maybe with an alteration(s) they might have been better, ie: less butter, an egg or 2, baking soda instead of baking powder maybe… Sorry Laura! I loved some of your recipes, but like I said, this one was a "Miss" for me. I'd love to hear any input or suggestions from you or others. Thank you. P.S. Made your Broccoli Rabe/Chicken Sandwich last night and it was delish! Thank you!

Hey I made of your mocha chocolate chip cookies it came dry and I had to add two eggs to make it moist. But I think there was confused on butter measure. Since I did 1 and 1/4. I am not sure u mean. Two for half stick or two and half stick? Because it made me doubt since video show one stick and 1/4 to added it. But overall it was delicious but I hope to remake with correct butter measure to see different. Please help thank you Laura.

if you have a food processor, you can take regular sugar, and put it in the food processor for about 15 minutes, or until the sugar is really smooth and feels almost like flour 🙂

You put a rack in the middle of the oven, and rotate the pan that the cookies are in, not the rack (:

Hi! If you want to make them a bit bigger, you can always scoop more dough for each cookie instead of what you did before. Is that what you mean? Or if you don't want them to spread out as much, You can let the cookie dough sit in the fridge for 15 minutes so the butter sets a little and the cookies don't spread out as much as they bake (normally, idk about cookies w/o eggs). I have question too! When you made them, were they really really hard? How would you describe their texture? Thanks (:
