Mac and Cheese Soup is a bizarre dish I tried during my recent trip to Melbourne. A thick, rich and creamy soup featuring fried ham and macaroni pasta, this dish is definitely not for everyday consumption, but suitable for an occasional treat – give it a go!

Just curious why you added chicken stock tho because a tradtional cheese sauce is a bechemel with cheese which makes it a mornay or cheese sauce?

Your addition of chicken stock to your roux makes it a veloute saice but adding cream would generally be a bechel. Wonder if theres a proper sauce name for this.

That would kill you in a week! Instead of Mac and Cheese with Ham, I'd put in a pound of Extra Lean Ground Beef and Canned Mushroom Soup, Rice with Bag Freezer Corn and Fresh Mushroom Slices. Add Pepper and Salt to taste.

Would even go so far as to say you could do ground beef for a luscious cheeseburger soup!
