Mac and Cheese is a main dish that is loved all over the world. Freshly cooked pasta is combined with a delicious creamy cheese sauce and topped with melted cheese. Best of all, it can be made in around thirty minutes. You’ll never go back to the packet stuff again – Give it a go!

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

500g Pack of Macaroni (or other pasta)
1 Litre of Milk (4 Cups)
60g Butter
1/3 Cup of Plain Flour
1 Cup of Grated Cheddar Cheese
1/2 Cup of Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt and Pepper (to season)

Plus extra cheese for topping (if baking)

Preparation Time: About 5 mins
Cooking Time: About 25 minutes

Serves 4 – 6

ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC
(Look up Google for a conversion chart if using Imperial)

    For conversions, take the celsius temp and multiply it by 2.5

    Duuude ! I tried it with white cheese ( looks like feta but it's not so fat as that one) ! Delicious. The kid has almost ate  the plate too 🙂 Great recipe ! Thank you

    maan right after I watched this I straight away went to my kitchen and cook it and I tried it it taste awsome not great but awsome(more than great for me)make more nice food recipe vid I love it!!

    Trust me I've tried it, you can't. You can replace the butter with margarine or dairy-free butter-style spread but not oil

    i have a question! i tried to do this..but i couldn't find grated cheddar cheese at the store…so i bought some cheddar and grated it myself..but my sauce came out all like…chunky and with the cheddar all funky! it was NOT smooth and creamy at all!! what was the problem??? 🙁 please answerr !!

    @thirteenpizzas Oil can be used however it doesn't work very as well. It burns the flour VERY easily since it gets very hot and the rue won't thicken properly. Butter really is much better, if you don't have butter you can use margarine that can work too, but butter just tastes better

    @thirteenpizzas I strongly recommend following the recipe as stated. I've never used oil instead of butter, so I'm not sure what the result would be 😉
