Wow, thank you for this! For some reason I was always under the impression that these were a pain to make, but now that I see how simple it looks, I cannot wait to make them for Christmas! 🙂

I can zest the lemon perfectly fine, but when i zest my orange it just turns to a mush, any idea why this might be happening? Google had no good answers!

My Sicilian grandmother & mother made this recipe ever since I can remember. They called it "Pignolata" and was made during holidays. I loved them and ate them with gusto! 🙂

My grandmother was also from Naples Italy , and she made these every year for Christmas, sadly she didn't write anything down, and she passed awas, so I have been looking and looking for a recipe, this one is perfect! Thank you for sharing Laura!!

My mom made these by the thousands at Christmas time as kids. Christmas gifts for our teachers x 8 kids. My moms mom and her mom are from Naples too! When she baked the kitchen looked like a bomb went off. By the time everything was cleaned up (well past midnight) most of the Stuffoli were eaten!!I'm going to make your recipe for my mom this Christmas. io uso L`anice e il cesto di nocciole e mandole e miele , I incorporate ANISE in my struffoli in a crushed basket of hazelnuts, almonds and honey , a classic from Scaturchio , if y now what I mean . YUM
