    it is just me or the pastry doesn't look very fluffy… I think its because she mixed the egg whites into the yolk with the mixer instead of spatula ?

    I really want to make this, but I'm not crazy about almond extract. Can anyone recommend if I should just leave it out or if I should use another type of extract?

    When rolling the cake do you have to use a towel or can you use aluminum foil or something else? It's just using a towel for me is unsanitary even if it is clean.

    Seriously, why on earth did she mix the egg yolks first?? If you whip the egg whites first you dont need to wash the beaters…

    Hi Laura, why do I always choose your recipes? because i've never failed them before :D:D i always disappointed when i try recipes but your is so easy and step by step. I am going to make this recipe again in 2 days for my friends birthday cake. not in the roll form but joconde 😀

    Why on earth would you use that hand mixer to incorporate the egg whites to the rest of the batter instead of folding it with a spatula? You just beat all the air back out of them that way. That's elementary baking mistake.
