Hooters Daytona Beach Style Wings (Copycat Recipe) – How to make Daytona Wings

Hooters is known for their battered and fried wings that are then tossed in sauce and served. But there is also another version called the Daytona Beach Style Wings that are deep fried naked like traditional Buffalo wings, then sauced and then finished on the grill for an amazing caramelized finished. That’s what I’m going to show you how to make, but I’m grilling the wings instead of frying them with a twist!

i smoke mine for about 45 min., smoke em with hickory or what I have available… then I baste them with franks wing sauce…until done, then pour the rest of the baste on the smoked wings… yum….no flour or corn starch….

Hey, Larry, this sauce is made where I live. Maybe they would send you a gift package of their sauce and spice rubs for free if you would review it on your show. I'm going to make some bbq buffalo sauce to add to chicken tenders cooked in butter over low medium heat tonight. They're back on sale. The other half of the tenders will become chicken tacos.

"Hooters" is a great place to go, and there's nothing at all wrong with being served by great-looking women! 😀 Some people really need to chill out about that, Larry 🙁 Your wings recipe looks very tasty, but I see you were touching the chicken with your bare hands . . . tsk! tsk! <sigh> Oh well, I guess I'll still give you a thumbs up anyway, your buddy, Norfolk Joe ;-)

Great looking wings! Bet they are just as good if not better than Hooters. Loved hooters wings Haven't been there in years. Funny but it just occurred to me that of all the people I've heard who go into apoplexy over hooters none ever touched on the subject of real strip joints.
