    You can substitute the yeast with sourdough starter instead.

    Mine wasn't sweet. Did anyone else experience this? I used dried cranberries; however, I found t the bread itself wasn't sweet.

    Ciao Laura! For the ones that are not crazy about dry fruit, so talking about a Pandoro Panettone…will the recipe be the same just leave out the dried fruit?

    I replaced the 1.25 cup of sweet things with chocolate and had an excellent Chocolate Panetonne.

    HI, Laura i m going to make this Panettone with my Italian exchange student and he said that we have to rise for 17 hours??? and he said if not 17 hours and at least 3 X 4 hours? is it that important?

    Hey Laura! I find it amazing that almost exactly the same cake (ingredients are the same, proportions may be different) is a traditional Christmas cake in Poland. 🙂 We call it "drożdżowe", which means "yeasty".

    Hi Laura, I thought one of the traditional ingredients was Fiori  Di Sicilia, at least that's what I read, If i have this essence how much would i add?

    Hi Laura!!!!!!panettone is great but my favourite is pandoro, i would like very much to see it from you!!!!!i'm from Greece and we traditionaly at 1st of January we make a sweet bread called Santa Claus' Pie (vasilopita in greek) and we put inside it a coin and brings luck to whomever find it for the rest of the year.This year i made pandoro and everybody liked it!!!!!!  I want to see your recipe too!!!!! (my comment is out of season but now i came up with the idea,please make it i would be so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!)
