Hi OnePotChefShow I hope you see my comment. Love the videos and the fantastic recipes! I have a question about this video. Would I be able to substitute the butter for something like olive oil or coconut oil? Or does that defeat the purpose of butter chicken?

Is it OK to use thighs instead of breasts? I just find them much more flavourful.

I love this guy. His reactions to tasting his food always cracks me up. Then I find myself at the store buying the ingredients just so I can cook with him

Has anyone tried to make this in a rice cooker? I hear you sometimes can cook a full meal in a rice cooker, i wonder how you would adapt this one. Would love to try it but i dont have slow cooker … 🙂

Can you use S&B curry mix instead of curry powder and garam masala?

Should the chicken be browned first? Beef gets an odd flavor in the crockpot if you don't brown it first; does chicken get the same thing?

surely with all the spices you wouldn't taste the salt and pepper so do you really need it

My suggestion: Cook onion and garlic, add them into a blender along with tomato and then add it into the pot.

If we can’t find the spice blend you used that had cinnamon and cloves, etc..what could we use in place of that?

i am an Indian and this is not an authentic way of making butter chicken. though your way of making it simplifies the process for those without time. here..we tend to add cream or malai from milk into it..more spicy chillies go in…. and few other spices like turmeric powder.. coriander powder…kasoori methi leaves etc. good recipe chef. i wish you tried making more Indian food
