Yummy. Told my kids it was a cream soup, and served it with crusty bread.I did thin it out a tiny bit more with the stock. Not much though.

I've been eyeing this recipe up all week and tonight I finally made it. I boiled some penne pasta in the left over chicken stock then combined it with the chicken. My greatest test was feeding it to my extremely fussy daughter who is hard to please at the best of times, and she ate it all. I'm not a mustard fan but the mild taste added to this recipe in my opinion tops it off. Love love love it. Thanks again :)

I wouldn't call this a casserole exactly. More a stew, but that still looks fantastic.

Maybe you can sprinkle some paprika on top, just to give it some color.

Is there any way to make this without mustard? One person that lives with us is allergic to mustard so i have to try and cook some recipes without mustard. Any ideas to what i can use besides that?

I made similar except did it in the slow cooker, added quite a bit of thyme, parsley and a little paprika.  Also didn't use sour cream but instead a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup. Delish!

Just thought I would add I used to make a very similar recipe that also had bacon in it. I would line a deep casserole dish with puff pastry then put in the hot chicken casserole mix then top with a further sheet of puff pastry then stick in the oven for 40 minutes at 180 degrees C. Set aside to cool & enjoy :-)

My mid-week time saver! I barely have time to make dinner after coming from work and I just cooked this this morning before heading to the office. 'Twas delicious, the dijon mustard did its job well! Modified a few things here and there like adding a hint of rosemary for garnish and a dash of parmesan. Yum! Can't wait to come home to taste this tonight. Thanks, David!

Just tried this tonight, with significant variations (with mushroom & seafood cream soup…and milk… no sour cream or stock). It was absolutely delicious^^
    Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
