Great vid mate. I do like adding a touch of white pepper and chopped white onion to my version but you have absolutely hit the nail on the head in terms of the basics with this dish. I also tend to be heavy handed with the soy sauce. Can Chinese food ever be TOO salty?

Tinned Baby Prawns? I'm in Windsor Ontario Canada, that's a completely new thing to me. I love shrimp, but I've never heard or seen anything like that before? I know canned tuna, but canned baby prawns is something I've got to try!

Love to try this but my boiled rice always ends up a big sticky mess. Despite washing the starch off first. Is there a secret to boiling rice that I don't know about? If so, do tell! 😀 Cheers me Dears!

bacon? for us in the USA is that ham or smoked pork chop? Doesn't look fatty enough to be our type of bacon and our type of bacon tends to over take dishes if you use that much.

Hello! I'm new to cooking. I really like this recipe! A couple of dopey questions: Was the bacon you used regular old breakfast bacon that you chopped up raw? Also, How many guests/family members would this recipe serve? Thanks, Ethan.

No worries about what you use in fried rice. Originally, fried rice is what you make with left overs which make more sense why overnight cooked rice works better than fresh cooked.

This looks delicious, however, I would suggest to break a raw egg in instead of pre-fried omelette. This is a more traditional Chinese way of making it.
