In this video – David quickly shows you what he’s been cooking on Christmas Eve 2009. Included is his famous Lemon Cheesecake and a quick recipe for Beef-Infused Roast Potatoes!

INGREDIENTS:

3-4kg of Brushed Potatoes (scrubbed, peeled and chopped)
1-2 cups of Plain Olive Oil
1 Litre of Beef Flavoured Liquid Stock

Heat oil in a baking pan (in oven) for about 20 minutes. Toss in potatoes and bake for another 20 minutes. When potatoes are starting to crisp up on the outside, pour over stock and bake for about an hour (or until stock has been absorbed by potatoes – which ever happens first!)

Sorry about the shaky video – I’m used to using a tripod!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE – SEE YOU ALL IN 2010!!!

As a student with only a can of beef broth and a few potatoes left until next payday, I appreciate this recipe so much. I threw in an onion and some garlic just for good measure. Cheers!

@OnePotChefShow Haha, I'm not gay, but we'd be perfect housemates bro. You cook, I smoke weed and eat, lol. Love your vids man. Literally the easiest and most delicious recipes, even if I have to convert it to our (USA) archaic measuring system.

Just tried this. It's tempting to eat the entire roasting pan! (I added a bit of green onion to the stock mixture!)

I wish I knew about this recipe last semester. A great way to cook for a shit load of people – I might bring it over to a potluck when i get the chance!

I tried these potatoes the other day. I only had stock cubes rather than real stock but it turned out great! Only thing was that the potatoes were soggy at the bottom of the dish and when I tried to turn them over they broke up a bit. Is this normal?

I heated the oil at about 220 degrees C – then dropped it to 200 when I put the potatoes in ;)

I forgot to ask before, what temperature oven do you heat up the oil in and cook the potatoes in? They look amazing.
